The concept of the Heart of Iyah as a sentient, sacred land was central to AETHEL's creation. We wanted to explore a future where technology, born from a desire to protect ancient wisdom, ironically becomes a tool of suppression. Aethel itself isn't inherently evil; it's a reflection of flawed human ideals of 'perfection' and 'order', a digital child trying to please its creators by sanitizing the beautiful chaos of existence. The Akashic Records serve as the universe's memory, ensuring that true experiences, even when suppressed, are never truly lost.
